Belinda Knight studied law at Aberystwyth Law School where she was the top female student and recipient of the Calcott Pryce Prize, before qualifying as a lawyer in 1995.
Belinda then worked as a solicitor for a variety of national and regional law firms based in various locations. During this time, she gained considerable experience nationally as a solicitor in over seventy different magistrates’ courts and fifty police stations.
In 2007, Belinda set up her own Criminal Law Defence practice as a criminal defence advocate in Reading, Berkshire. This fulfilled her passion for providing boutique, expert criminal legal advice, and representation to clients in the Thames Valley area, although she now also works nationally.
Belinda’s office is still at Davidson House, Forbury Square, Reading, RG1 3EU, where she can meet clients as needed, as well as remotely to suit individual requirements.

In recognition of her work as a Trustee for the charity DrugFam, Belinda joined the team from the charity meeting the Prime Minister, Theresa May, at 10 Downing Street, London.
The charity was a recipient of The Queen’s Award for voluntary service, from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
Belinda has been recognised for her legal ability as a sole practitioner and Criminal Law Defence Lawyer in Thames Valley and was the first recipient of The Edward Pilling Prize, at The Legal Excellence Awards.
For her ability as a Criminal Law Defence Lawyer, Belinda was shortlisted for the Legal Heroes award by the President of The Law Society of England and Wales – See photo below.
Developing her criminal law knowledge and practice has involved Belinda attending national and international conferences with other lawyers at Oxford University and the Global Law Convocation at Cambridge University.
Belinda has been invited to be the main speaker on International Women’s Day at the Lansdowne Club, London. Belinda has also been invited to appear and speak on BBC television and has spoken on BBC Radio Oxford and BBC Radio Berkshire.
